Director's Message

Happy New Year ZCA Families!

I hope you all enjoyed a very blessed Christmas and a healthy start to your New Year.

Wednesday, January 17th we will host our 5th Annual Family Literacy Day. This month and next month we will be learning about the many important contributions African Americans have made to our country during this event at school.  If there are any influential people in your family, please share.

Following the MLK break we will begin rehearsing for our Graduation celebration to be held in the month of May.  Daily, and timely attendance is necessary to make this production possible.

This year holds so much potential for your children as they take a deeper dive into their education and continue building on the many things they have already learned.  This year we will have Preschool Graduation celebration where all students will participate.  This is a promotion celebration for each student as they matriculate through the curriculum at ZCA. Your children are a blessing to ZCA and the body of Christ and we look forward to helping them matriculate thru the awesome adventure God has in store for each one of them.  Please reach out to us for any feedback or suggestions you would like to provide.

Thank you for your support as we navigate a new season in life.

God Is Great & Greatly to Be Praised!

Your ZCA Family

Verse of the Month

Exodus 14:14
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

MONTHLY ACTIVITES

Wednesday, Jan 15th National Hat Day- Dress your child in the hat of their choice. It can be a sports team, or a silly hat.

Monday, Jan 20th – Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday – The Academy is Closed

Jan 27th – Jan 30thOpposite Week - During classroom Circle Time and Centers, we will discuss opposites. You can put together opposite colors, mismatches, wacky hairdos, or inside out and backwards.

Stay Active During Winter Months

Try a game of modified musical chairs. Set up stations around the room using objects like blocks or small towels. When the music stops, everyone needs to be standing near one of the objects. If you are not standing near a object, you are then out of the game. Have other activities set up around the room, such as a yoga mat to do sit-ups and push-ups while those who are waiting for the game to end. The key is for everyone to stay active!
